The ElastiMeter is an elegant indentation instrument for skin elasticity measurements.
  • Fast and convenient measurement
  • Skin contact less than 0.5 seconds
  • Portable - battery operated and wireless
  • Does not alter skin structure - no suction
  • Measurement can be repeated on the same spot without alterations in skin structure

ElastiMeter is an easy-to-use portable skin elasticity meter. Elasticity is one of the key measurables in determining skin condition and the impact of ageing, clinical and environmental conditions on the elasticity of skin is of particular interest to many in the personal care and pharmaceutical sectors. The ElastiMeter is an ideal instrument for anyone involved in this subject.

The ElastiMeter is fully portable, with a measurement time of a few seconds. It can be used on its own or using the wireless data transfer capability of Delfin’s Modular Core software.

Skin elasticity measurement device

The ElastiMeter is widely used in the personal care sector for product formulation, claims validation and efficacy testing and in the pharmaceutical sector for skin research studies and clinical trials.

You can find independent studies related to ElastiMeter in our Publications section.

Skin elasticity measurement principle

The ElastiMeter comprises a reference plate with an indenter located at the centre. As the instrument is pressed briefly against the skin, a constant deformation to the skin surface is produced without altering the skin structure. A sensor measures the force required to produce the deformation from which the instant skin elasticity can be determined.
